In 2002, about 82,000 nontraumatic lower-limb amputations were performed in people with diabetes.  This diabetes complication makes it difficult to maintain a normal lifestyle.  Fortunately, the iBot Mobility System can greatly reduce the loss of mobility and improve the quality of life for many amputation patients.

iBot in upright mode

The iBot is capable of navigating a much greater variety of terrain than a normal wheelchair.  It can climb stairs or balance on two wheels in an upright position to bring the user to face level with standing people.

The INDEPENDENCE® iBOT® 4000 Mobility System is unlike any power wheelchair. Its combination of unique, innovative functions allows you to go places and do things not possible with any other single mobility device.

Also, after only a day or two of poor sleep, participants in the studies ate far more food than after a good night's sleep.
